Thoughts About: Statues

I was tripping along life minding what I thought was my own business, and then from a place I had not yet known She came.

No fanfare- no big flash. I was walking through the British Museum and had become very keenly aware of the Her image there- and was drawn at a level that I did not understand.

For whatever the reasons that we become conscious of her presence- know that we are her children- I hope that being part of this list will be for me a way to connect with others, further her Honour, and grow in Her love.

Peace and Thank You.

I was at the British Museum a couple of winters ago and I swear I have never seen so many statues of Sekhmet in anyone place before in my life!

Which statue of Her struck you the most, out of curiosity? Some of them literally resonate with a perceivable energy. The one that I noticed that had the most "pull" was the black basalt statue of Sekhmet that was in the same room as the Rosetta Stone. It was a bit larger than 'life size' and nearly perfect. The inscriptions almost flawless. That one I literally fell to my knees.

I believe there is a picture of that one in Robert Masters' Sekhmet book. I have lots of pictures of it too....one of them oddly has a picture of a fire extinguisher next to it that I dont believe I noticed when I took it!

I think the Lady has a sense of humour! ;)
